Prof.dr. Nelly Litvak

Research and teaching mandate (leeropdracht) I work on mathematical methods and algorithms for complex networks, such as social networks and the WWW. Real-life networks are modeled as random graphs, and algorithms are used to extract information from the massive network data. I stand for innovative methods of teaching mathematics. Mathematics is about understanding and being able to explain. I try to teach this to the students through projects and interactive assignments
Expertise Applied probability, complex networks, algorithms
