2010 Call for proposals in the field of Science in Society
The 2010 Call for proposals in the field of Science in Society is now published at the CORDIS website.We would like to draw your attention on some specific topics:
1. SiS 2010 - 1-0-1 Mobilisation and Mutual Learning Actions which is designed to support multi-annual partnerships between different types of actors (research organisations, universities, civil society organisations, science centres, public authorities, etc) on issues of common interest where science is at stake (sustainable development, health, transport, social issues, etc), with special attention to science in society themes (education, governance, ethics, gender, scientific culture and communication).
2. SiS-2010-2.1.3-1 Women in Science: Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation which is designed to build on the theme of gender equality in science.
The research to be implemented under this action will bring a significant contribution to the understanding of the situation of women in science in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestinian-administered areas, Syrian Arab Republic, and Tunisia. It will be important to take into account cultural diversities and traditions to analyse how all these countries are addressing this issue.
Funding scheme: Collaborative Project for Specific International Cooperation Actions (SICAs) dedicated to international cooperation partner countries
3. SiS-2010-2.1.1-1 Implementing structural change in research organisations/ universities designed to support groups of research organisations/universities that will cooperate on common actions in order to implement the best systemic organizational approaches to increase the participation and career advancement of women researchers.
The deadline for the submission of proposals is the 21 January 2010.
