Masterclass: Promoting gender equality in medicine - How to make it a reality?
“It is my profound belief that the underlying cause of the lack of medical career advancement among females is rooted in implicit bias: our collective inability to recognise that women are as talented as men in the medical profession, or business, or science.” Prof. Hanneke Takkenberg, Erasmus MCEven though women have made progress in moving to higher-level leadership positions in medical organisations they still face incredible challenges getting to the along the way. This inspiring masterclass by Prof. Hanneke Takkenberg (Erasmus Medical Centre) will address some of the challenges that women face when climbing the ladder in medical organisations, both from the academic and the industry side!
This interactive and intense masterclass takes an individual development approach and be a lot of fun. It will facilitate participants in practicing the key leadership competencies of:
-Awareness: How you can become aware of your own implicit bias?

-Power and influence: How you can become a leader?
