Inspiring women at WUR

Wageningen UR wants to increase diversity in its workforce. To reach this the action plan for gender balance between 2014 and 2016 had been implemented. Women have been making their way in science and leadership positions for decades, but stilll, stereotyping about gender and science is strong.

Louise Fresco, President of the Executive Board of Wageningen UR, introduces this book that focuses specifically on 22 women at WUR, as women are, until now, under-represented in leadership positions. Wageningen UR has therefore created these portraits of 22 women at different career stages who can be a role model and an inspiration to the younger generation.
